My reading of The Guardian 

Part I. The post of The Guardian.

Today I read a post about the author R.F. Kuang, who is a writer of the fantasy novels, the post points our her latest trilogy "The poppy war", which was published in 2020.

The post talks abaout how she has beem studyng and how she started writing books, as well as her musical tastes, movies asd possible events she will attend. Some of them are a concert of the band Måneskin and biographical drama of Morzart.

But what really cought my attention was the fact that she is an author and how she talkes about the band Måneskin , since in the last few months, I have started to take time for myself and started to read some novels, plus the band Måneskin is also one that  I listen to occasionally.

 Part II. My cultural radar.

Today I am also going to talk to you about some topics that interest me.

 1.Books.

Since the beginning of September I bought a kindle and started downloading books non-stop, in this month I have already read 4 books, some romance, and now a fantasy saga. I really enjoy reading different genres of books. I still don't know what genre I will read next. 

Mangas/manhuas/manhwas.

Throughout the years I always read different comics, commonly I read mangas (Japanese) or manhwas (Korean), since they are short or are for shorter seasons, sometimes I also read manhuas (Chinese) but they go up many chapters some reach 250 chapters.

But I also read different genres. 

3. Anime.

Lately I'm more focused on reading, I have not seen many anime this year, since I like to watch them on the go, and when I have time to enjoy, before I saw them on air but anxiety does not help much jsjsjs. 

4. Kdramas.

Also something I enjoy too much are Korean dramas, since I was very little I have loved watching dramas for hours and enjoy my day with it. 

5.KPop.

Kpop as I said in a previous post, is something I've been listening to since I was very young, I'm always looking forward to my favorite artists, if time allows me, although lately I feel like I've left it aside, but only because college restricts my time a lot. 

6. Something that has caught my attention lately is the zoning of the sea, but purely because I have to look up memory theme soon (t.t).

It is more about how the sea is zoned, since in the south there are zones occupied by salmon farms or other extractors of resources from the sea, which should not be occupied or plants that should be closed, but continue to operate, due to lack of control.

Since I was very young, about 10 years old, I started listening to Kpop, mysteriously, I always found Sm Entertainment videos on ETC.tv, around that time, because, of that my love for Kpop started, some of the first grups I listened to were TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee, F(x), Girls' Generation, later I because obsessed with EXO, Red Velved, BoA and some other artists or from other companies.

Unfortunately in those years came SHINee and Super Junio, but my parents did not have the money to take me to any those conserts, but I always wanted to go, over the years I thought I I would never go to a concert because I had  no money or the grups I want to go see, like EXO, Red Velved, BoA had never come to Chile.

My life went into ecstasy, when I found out that some Sm Entertainment bands would come in summer 2019, as beautiful as destiny is sometimes they brought just the artists I wanted to see the most, unfortunately some bands were no longer complete for different reasons, but the band I wanted to see the most at that moment was EXO, since it was my support in difficult years and it was my and my best friend's favorite band, also just a few months later some members would start with the mandatory military service in Korea.

It was a wonderful day, as the bands went on stage and finished their shows I cried knowing that no, I would know when I would be able to see them and be as close to them as I was that time.

When the concert ended, I had a feeling of being complete but very sad to be away from them.    

    My Travels  

My sad reality is that I have not traveled so much so I have not known as many places as I want, I have traveled within Chile all my life but I have not gone to many places, and what to say, to leave Chile, I have never done it.

 With my family we have traveled to Calama, San Pedro de Atacama, Caldera, La Serena, Coquimbo, Constitución, Viña del Mar, Talca and Valparaiso, in fact we have been much more to Valparaiso and Talca, since we have family in those places, but not more than that.

With some friends we have traveled last year to the surroundings of Quintero and Puchuncavi, we visited the beaches, some them are, The beach “de los enamorados”, The beach “El trauco”, The beach “El caleuche”, The beach “El abanico”, The beach “Los rieles”, The beach “El durazno”. In quintero, and some others such as The beach “El tebo”, The beach “Cau cau”, The beach “Horcon”, The beach “Luna” and the more pretty The beach “Quirilluca”.

The Quirilluca beach, It has beautiful cliffs, which correspond to marine sediments of the "Horcon" formation, where fossils of cetaceans are found. It has the presence of wind erosion, which has been modeling its cliffs, which makes them wonderful to look at, and two caverns product of marine erosion, which are very large and beautiful, you can take very beautiful pictures on that beach.

 My Life 

My name is Catalina Muñoz, I am a geography student at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the UCH, I had lived all my life in the commune of independence but a few years ago I went further to the periphery to Quilicura, I am just going to say that the traffic is horrible.

My maternal family is from Valparaíso and my father's is from Talca, so I don't have much family in Santiago apart from my parents and my maternal and paternal grandmothers, an aunt and her daughter. My two grandmothers came to Santiago when they were young to work or study, but the other family preferred to stay instead of coming to Santiago, which is why a large part of my family is both in Talca and Valparaíso, uncles, grandparents, cousins, etc.

I also have 10 dogs, not all of them in my house but distributed in the houses that I have lived with my family, they all tell me that they are mine because I am the one who pampers them. The oldest is called Cachupin (11 years old), then Tolin (8 years old), Max (8 years old), Ahome (7 years old), Kirara (3 years old) and Matte (2 years old) and finally Kurama, Eri and Akira come with 2 years old now in August, they are the children of Kirara and Bobby who is a visitor that I also consider mine. 

I have two hobbies that entertain me too much, one is watching both anime , series, dramas, etc. and the second is reading. I really like to read books or manga on different themes, but the University this year has not left me much free time .
